there's no scrap in my scrapbook!

HomeDIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY ... Jun 1, 2007

... is, sadly, still rocket science!

Anybody can take pictures. Photographers interpret life. Great photographers captures everyday things and events in unique ways. They see brilliantly what to others may seem dull. They make the mundane magnificent. They see the world as it would be if everyone could conceptualize.

Light, shadow, f-stops, film and shutter speeds can be learned anywhere. How to develop a concept and create a personal touch, a unique style, is something else. Seeing the core, sensing the essence, softening the hard, and steeling the soft: that's what greatness is all about.

And that's what I intend to do.

He lived to find beauty. He killed to possess it.

It is like any blockbuster movie: if the critics praise it, it's horrible - if the critics hate it, it's brilliant.
